My Story: Roots in Finland, Heart on the West Coast

I come from a Finnish family, where saunas have been part of daily life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, the ritual of heating the stones, pouring water for that perfect löyly (steam), and emerging refreshed was more than relaxation—it was family tradition, healing, and pure joy.

Now living on Canada's stunning West Coast, surrounded by ancient forests, rugged oceans, and endless natural beauty, I'm inspired every day by this environment. It reminds me how sauna rituals connect us to nature: the heat, the cold plunge, the deep breath of fresh air afterward.

I'm beyond excited to see sweat culture spreading across North America—from luxurious Nordic spas to creative pop-up saunas and those incredible floating saunas on serene lakes. It's a movement toward mindful wellness, and I want to be part of making it accessible to all.
